My name is Wesley Mohler and I am from the small farming town of Ripon, California. Growing up on a farm and in an agriculture community, I always had a fascination with tractors and heavy equipment. This got me interested in the construction industry from a young age. I currently attend California State University Fresno, where I study Construction Management at the Lyle’s College of Engineering. Prior to this summer, I have never had an Internship in my field before. I recognized that as a sophomore in college, I needed to get some hands on experience in order to fully utilize my educational opportunity. Having an internship in construction would allow me to apply what I learned in class, to real life scenarios. From my first day in the construction management program, I have always had an interest in heavy civil construction. I knew that Teichert Construction was one of the best civil contractors in California, so I applied through the HR department. After interviewing for an internship position, I got the offer and Started in May 2017.
