I have wanted to be an engineer as long as I can remember. As a small child I was always intrigued by big job sites and the equipment on them. Massive machines and all the people working together in synchronization amazed me. This summer was the first time I was involved in any type of organized construction. I was excited to finally have an opportunity to try and apply in the real world some of the theory I had learned over the past two years. Working on a job site gave me new insight and an appreciation for the challenge of choreographing a construction project. I could have never imagined the many detailed elements that went into building a road. Playing a small part in these processes really brought me back to my childhood but more importantly excited me about the future. Every day I woke up excited to go to work. Looking forward to the challenges the job site would bring and motivated to do the best job possible.
