I’ve been working as a construction laborer since my early teens in various fields. I love working hard and being outside. However, when I saw middle-aged men with joint issues and back problems still working on the jobsite, I realized that manual labor is not a sustainable position when I get older, so I decided to get an education and move to the management side of things. I view construction management as just a specialized part of the business world, and I’ve learned how important networking is in business. I understand that I am not entitled a job when I graduate, and that I am responsible for establishing the connections and relationships that will be necessary to find future career opportunities. This is why I decided to take action and seek out internship opportunities.
