I originally decided to study Civil Engineering so that I could get a job that would involve me being outside working on structures that people take for granted everyday. Throughout college I have taken multiple courses in pavement design, structural analysis, construction methods. I choose to intern in construction because I enjoy seeing visible progress, one day on the job site looks completely different then a couple days, or weeks down the road. That’s the part that excites me and draws my interest. I also like seeing the logistical work and manpower involved to create or fix something that looks simple on paper, whenever implemented in the field actually it takes huge amounts of resources.
